Description

The Pompei Reconstructed Maxi Edition shows monuments and scenes of ancient Pompei as they would have been before Vesuvius erupted in AD 79. Using our carefully studied paper solution involving visually dynamic die-cut cards, the guide reconstructs the seven archaeological areas of the ancient city in Campania. It contains some in-depth fact sheets on the most interesting sites, including those opened after the restoration works carried out in 2016-17, and one dedicated to Herculaneum. Using the QR codes you can watch video clips of the virtual reconstructions, and also watch an online documentary about Pompei and the eruption of Vesuvius in streaming, on PCs, smartphones, and tablets.

The book contains itineraries for visiting the archaeological areas and fact sheets for exploring the most interesting sites.

Thanks to QR codes on the back of the illustrations, it is also possible to view (with a smartphone or tablet) 12 video clips made in computer graphics and the complete “Pompei AD 79” virtual tour.
